Tire Description

The Turanza ER30 is Bridgestone's Grand Touring Summer tire often used as Original Equipment on sports cars, coupes, sedans and SUVs like the Mazda Miata, BMW 3- Series, 7- Series and X5, as well as the Porsche Cayenne. It was developed to blend looks and handling with good noise levels and ride comfort, as well as provide traction on wet and dry roads. Like all summer tires, the Turanza ER30 is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. On the outside, the Turanza ER30 molds a summer tread compound into a symmetric tread design. Large rectangular tread blocks provide responsive handling and traction on dry roads, while lateral and circumferential tread grooves help evacuate water from under the tire's footprint to enhance wet traction and reduce hydroplaning. Internally, the Turanza ER30 features twin steel belts reinforced by spiral wrapped nylon to stabilize the tread area to enhance handling and high-speed capability. The Turanza ER30 features a rayon or polyester cord body (depending upon application) to enhance ride. Bridgestone Turanza ER30 tire's sidewall styling features subtle black letters reversed out of a circumferential serrated band.

The Turanza ER30's were OEM on the Camry SE and have done an excellent job in over three years and nearly 38K miles. Since we have no snow in south Texas the summer tread was not a problem. The tires handled great in dry and wet weather, and were only rotated once the entire time. I thought they would wear quicker because of that, but the opposite occurred. I have recently replaced them, but they still had about 4/32's of tread left. If not for the high price I would buy again. Decided to try out some Kumho's instead. All in all one of the best OEM tires I have had.
