The Potenza RE92A RFT is Bridgestone's High Performance All-Season run-flat tire developed exclusively as Original Equipment for Infiniti G35 sport coupes and Infiniti FX45 crossover utility vehicles. The Potenza RE92A RFT is designed to combine temporary extended mobility (for a distance of 50 miles at up to 50 mph even after a puncture has allowed complete air pressure loss) with all-season traction, even in light snow. The Potenza RE92A RFT molds an all-season tread compound into a computer-enhanced symmetric tread design to minimize tread noise while interlocking triangulated tread blocks and circumferential tread grooves provide traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to stabilize the tread area and enhance handling and high-speed capability. The structure of the Potenza RE92A RFT also features Bridgestone Side Support Run-Flat technology-reinforced sidewalls to support the vehicle after a puncture causes a loss of air pressure.

These are the OEM tires for my Infiniti FX35 AWD w/ Sport Pkg (20" wheels). We live in the South, so snow and ice are not concerns. These tires are mostly smooth and quiet when they have less than 10K miles on them, but the harshness and noise increase steadily until they need replacement. I am a spirited driver, and my previous set did not last more than 22K miles. You MUST rotate these regularly, especially with an AWD vehicle, or it will make the ride rougher and louder. I have had a flat in a previous set, and the "Run Flat" certainly saved a lot of time and inconvenience, especially since the flat happened with our infant son in the back seat. Overall, run flats are a compromise between safety/convenience and comfort/value. For me they are worth the trade-off, but I can see why it would not be for others. I have not tired other tires for this vehicle, but based on the comments and reviews of the similarly sized Dunlops, it seems that these may be better overall choice (for me at least). Overall these are good tires, but not great tires. They would be great if they would last a bit longer, and were not so harsh as they approached the end of service. But when driving "briskly", they inspire absolute confidence and are stable at all times and at all levels of wear, even in the rain. They also seem to be well constructed overall.
