The Blizzak LM-25 4X4 with UNI-T is Bridgestone's Performance Winter tire developed for high performance sport utility vehicle drivers who desire improved winter driving traction on dry, wet and snow-covered roads. Blizzak LM-25 4X4 winter tires are designed to combine good snow and ice traction with European high-speed winter driving performance. The Blizzak LM-25 4X4 winter tire’s overall combination of capabilities is made possible by Bridgestone’s UNI-T technology that brings advanced tire technologies together. Innovative tire design, construction and tread compound help maximize the tire’s performance, ride quality and wear while providing traction in winter. Blizzak LM-25 4X4 tires feature a directional tread design with rounded tread shoulders to increase hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush-covered roads while enhancing dry and wet road handling. They use a high-silica content winter tread compound to combine winter traction with high-speed durability (the current Multicell tread compounds used on most Blizzak winter tires can not support H- or V-speed ratings). The Blizzak LM-25 4X4 features an independent block tread design that employs the Lamellen "edge effect" with multiple three dimensional (3D) zigzag sipes specifically placed in the tread blocks to provide the biting edges needed to help grip snow and ice for winter traction without resorting to traditional metal studs. Blizzak LM-25 4X4 winter tires meet the industry’s severe snow service requirements and are branded with the snowflake-on-the-mountain symbol. Install Blizzak LM-25 4X4 tires in sets of four only.

The best snow tire I have ever owned. Traction control has not gone on once. ABS has not kicked in once. Have driven these in three to five inches of fresh snow. No problems. Driven on packed, icy patched snow roads black ice glare ice, no problems. Have a very steep inclined hill on the way to my sons school. Everyone else was slipping into ditches, and getting stuck on the way up and wiping out on the way down. We blazed right up the hill, swerving to avoid stuck cars, on black glare iced incline. Tires did not break loose once. Tried to get them to break a little by gasing it up the hill. No such luck. If it is a snow / ice tire you are looking for, these are amazing tires- look no further. They are quiet as well, and do not sound like a snow tire while driving. Drove them in a rain storm and never hydroplaned, and the viaducts and bypasses were flooded with 3 to 5 inches of water. Drove through it about 25 to 30 mph very stable no sliding whatsoever. I should mention our car is an AWD so may handle better than cars that are not. But compared to the last set of tires we had, these are way way better in the snow, ice, rain. Amazing tire, if you live in a mountainous or hilly region with snow/ice I would not think twice about purchasing these for everycar you have, AWD or not. Am considering leaving these on year round, as we put them on in nicer dry weather and they handled and rode great. Something alot of buyers may not check is the initial tread depth when you buy a tire. Most of these blizzack sizes are initially 12/32" and our old tires when new were only 10/32". That is not a huge difference, but in terms of percentage, the blizzaks have 8% more tread depth when new than our old tires had when new. I am not sure about tread wear, as we have only had these for about 500 miles, but very very happy so far.
